Purpose

Since 1893, Pickle Packers International (PPI) has been a cornerstone of the pickled vegetable industry, advancing its mission through research sponsorship, industry representation before government agencies, educational material development, and exceptional networking opportunities for its members.

Today, PPI represents 87% of the cucumber tonnage grown for pickling in North America, a market valued at over $1.5 billion. Over the years, membership has expanded to include producers of pickles, peppers, sauerkraut, and other pickled vegetables.

PPI’s diverse membership encompasses processors, salters, green shippers, brokers, growers, seed companies, ingredient and equipment manufacturers, packaging suppliers, and other industry service providers. With a global footprint, PPI proudly counts members from Canada, Finland, Germany, India, Japan, Mexico, the Netherlands, Sri Lanka, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
